Fundraising Coordinator

The Fundraising Coordinator plays a key role in sustaining and growing the mission of Seen Heard & Known by securing financial and in-kind support.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute fundraising events that engage the community and inspire giving

• Build relationships with new donors while maintaining consistent communication with existing supporters

• Represent Seen Heard & Known at local business and nonprofit networking events

• Solicit donations from local businesses (grocery stores, restaurants, clothing companies, etc.)

• Identify new partnership opportunities and sponsorship prospects

• Track outreach efforts and donor engagement to ensure follow-up and accountability

What Success Looks Like:
Strong donor relationships, well-executed fundraising events, and consistent growth in financial and material support.

 

Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator ensures that every event is fully staffed with prepared, informed, and mission-driven volunteers.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, schedule, and organize volunteer coverage for events and outreach efforts

• Train and onboard new volunteers, clearly communicating expectations and values

• Maintain an organized system (spreadsheet or database) of volunteer information and availability

• Communicate all logistics for volunteer shifts, including parking, arrival time, event duration, dress code, and expectations

• Provide guidance on how to respectfully and effectively interact with the people we serve

• Serve as the main point of contact for volunteers before and during events

What Success Looks Like:
Volunteers feel confident, informed, and valued—leading to smooth, well-supported events.

 

Clothing Coordinator 

The Clothing Coordinator oversees the stewardship and fair distribution of clothing resources to those served by Seen Heard & Known.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and manage incoming clothing donations to ensure accessibility and order

• Distribute clothing to clients in a way that is fair, respectful, and consistent with guidelines

• Monitor and enforce distribution rules (e.g., preventing over-collection, reselling, or misuse)

• Receive and fulfill specific clothing requests based on individual needs

• Coordinate delivery of requested items when necessary

• Maintain inventory awareness to identify current needs and donation gaps

What Success Looks Like:
Clothing resources are well-managed, equitably distributed, and effectively meeting the needs of the community.

 

Assistant Food Coordinator 

The Food Coordinator oversees the planning, sourcing, and distribution of meals for those served by Seen Heard & Known.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with church groups to prepare and serve meals during outreach events

• Maintain a schedule of volunteer groups and confirm participation prior to events

• Arrange catering when volunteer groups are unavailable

• Purchase and organize necessary food service supplies, including plates, cups, utensils, napkins, and serving items

• Coordinate food pickup, delivery, and setup as needed

• Ensure food service operations are organized, welcoming, and adequately supplied

• Build relationships with churches, caterers, and community partners to support meal service efforts

What Success Looks Like:
Meals are consistently available at outreach events, volunteers are well-coordinated, supplies are stocked and organized, and those served experience hospitality, dignity, and care through a reliable meal program.

 

Outreach Coordinator

The Outreach Coordinator helps connect people to the services and events of Seen Heard & Known by building awareness in the community and fostering relationships with partner ministries.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct street outreach to inform individuals about upcoming events and available resources

• Attend events hosted by partner ministries and organizations to build connections and share information about Seen Heard & Known

  • St. Joseph’s Breakfast

  • Urban Ministries

• Create and distribute event invitation cards in both physical and digital formats

• Ensure volunteers, partner organizations, and community contacts receive event invitations and promotional materials

• Maintain communication with partner ministries regarding upcoming outreach opportunities

• Identify new opportunities to engage with and invite members of the community to events

What Success Looks Like:
Community members are aware of upcoming events, attendance continues to grow, partner ministries are actively engaged, and outreach efforts consistently connect people with the resources and relationships offered through Seen Heard & Known.

Each volunteer position will receive a yearly $600 stipend.  Hours are part-time but will vary for each role.  Please reach out to inquire!
